Job description:Position Overview:
As a CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator for Sheet Metal, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machines to produce precision sheet metal components. This role requires a keen understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:
Prepare and set up CNC laser cutting machines for production runs.
Load and secure sheet metal materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment.
Programming:
Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Write and modify CNC programs for laser cutting machines based on design requirements.
Operation:
Monitor machine operations to ensure the production of accurate and high-quality sheet metal components.
Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain precision and efficiency.
Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and address any issues related to the cutting process that may affect product quality.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC laser cutting machines to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and address any mechanical or technical issues that may arise during production.
Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of materials.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records, including job sheets, inspection reports, and machine logs.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to ensure seamless production processes.
Communicate any issues or concerns related to machine performance or product quality.
