As a Master Tailor, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality bespoke garments, ensuring exceptional fit, style, and craftsmanship. Your expertise in garment construction, pattern-making, and attention to detail will be essential in delivering superior tailoring services.
Responsibilities:
1. Consult with clients to understand their style preferences, garment requirements, and specific measurements.
2. Provide expert advice on fabric selection, design elements, and garment construction techniques.
3. Create custom patterns or modify existing patterns to meet client specifications, ensuring accurate fit and proper proportions.
4. Cut fabric according to patterns, taking into account fabric characteristics and pattern layout.
5. Assemble garment pieces using traditional tailoring techniques such as hand stitching, machine sewing, and pressing.
6. Perform fittings with clients to assess fit and make necessary adjustments for optimal comfort and aesthetics.
7. Skillfully alter garments to achieve desired fit and style, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
8. Stay updated on latest fashion trends, techniques, and technologies in the tailoring industry.
9. Manage inventory of fabrics, sewing supplies, and equipment, ensuring availability of necessary materials.
10. Collaborate with other tailors, seamstresses, and staff members to meet production deadlines and maintain quality standards.
